Tokyo is the city where foreign residents want to live! What kind of priorities are these foreigners looking for a place to live in?


When foreigners were asked about their "rent budget," 35.64% said "under 100,000 yen," 24.32% said "100,000-150,000 yen," 14.88% said "150,000-200,000 yen," and 25.16% said "over 200,000 yen.


The budget level is high because many foreigners are looking for rental properties in the central Tokyo area, and it is surprising that 64% of all respondents were looking for apartments with a monthly rent of 100,000 yen or more.


Also, when foreigners were asked what was important to them when looking for a property, "near a station" came in first (35.9%), followed by "relatively new construction" (28.42%) and "size" (25.94%).


As a trend, "Japanese style" such as tatami mats and Japanese-style rooms did not seem to be favored. The reason for this may be that respondents tend to look for a room that is close to the way of life in their home country, such as in terms of size and proximity to nature and parks.
